The Modern Languages Department is showing Amazona (2016, dirs. Clare Weiskopf and Nicolas van Hemelryck, Columbia) in Adams Library for Women's History Month. All are welcome to attend!

 

Summary

After the tragic death of her eldest daughter, Val left her family behind and escaped into the jungle. Clare, the director of this film, was 11 years old at the time and couldn't understand what her mother was looking for. Thirty years later, when she becomes pregnant, she decides to confront her.
